How to Earn Free Gift Cards With the Fetch Rewards App
I am always looking for ways to earn free gift cards. These free gift cards come in handy when preparing for a trip. There are always last minute things that I want to purchase from Amazon and having a gift card credit is always a nice way to offset the cost.
One of my favorite apps for earning gift cards is the Fetch Rewards App. This app is so easy to use and there are so many gift card options available for redemption.
Both the Apple App Store and Google Play offer this all for download. Once you download the app and register you are now ready to start earning points. How do you earn points? It’s as easy as snapping a picture of your receipt. That’s it. Super simple.
The Fetch Rewards app is very easy to figure out and simple to use. Click the orange camera icon and a screen will pop up for you to take a picture of your receipt. There are markings on the screen to help you line up your receipt to make sure all the necessary information is captured. You do not have to fit the entire receipt in one snap. Multiple pictures are allowed.
To get credit for your receipt, your photo must include the following information: store name, logo, checkout date, time, and purchase total. Your receipt must be uploaded within 14 days of purchase, and a maximum of 14 receipts can be submitted within a 7-day rolling period.
The nice thing about this app is that there’s nothing you need to do ahead of time in order to earn points. There are no coupons to clip, nothing to look up or research. I’ve never planned my grocery shopping trips around the offers listed in the app, however, if you want to maximize the number of points you earn, you can look ahead and see what bonus points are currently being offered for certain brands.
For example let’s say you have pickles on your grocery list. If you look in the Fetch Rewards app before you go to the store and see that there’s a 500 bonus on Claussen pickles, you can make sure you buy that brand, and when you scan your receipt later you will automatically get the additional 500 bonus points.
If you randomly purchased Claussen pickles during the bonus timeframe and didn’t know there was a bonus, you would still earn the extra 500 points as long as you scan your receipt within 14 days of purchase.
Once you’ve accumulated at least 3,000 points, you are eligible to redeem them for a gift card. 3,000 points will earn you a $3 gift card and at this time the available gift card options include Amazon, Target, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Panera Bread.
If you can hold out a little longer and wait until you have 5,000 points to redeem, the list of gift card options increases to 70+ different stores. 5,000 points are equivalent to a $5 gift card, and 10,000 points are worth a $10 gift card.
Fetch Rewards also offers an option to link your email and Amazon accounts to earn points for e-receipts. I have been able to earn several points this way as well.
If you find that you enjoy using Fetch Rewards and you would like to share it with your friends and family, they offer a pretty nice referral program. For every friend that you refer, both you and your friend will each receive 2,000 points after your friend signs up and scans their first receipt. Easy peasy!
To receive 2,000 bonus points and start earning free gift cards with Fetch Rewards click here and enter EFT19.

I’ve tried rewards programs before, and it seemed to get overly complicated. Do the points add up quickly? What I mean is, are the items that earn points typically regular well-bought items, or are they obscure items that I might buy only every once in a while?

I just logged in and looked and they currently have 292 brands that give you extra points. So if you buy brand name items, you should qualify for extra points pretty regularly. If you only buy store brands then you’ll probably just get the standard 25 points per receipt. They do offer random bonuses too. A few weeks ago I got an email saying that I hadn’t scanned any receipts recently (been staying at home) and that I would earn an extra 300 points the next time I scanned a receipt. I’ve gotten bonuses like this several times.

Interesting concept, i tend to shy away from rewards because I’m just not that organized. This looks pretty easy.

I will check it out. Thanks for the information. I use a few rebate apps and love seeing a check each quarter. Every little bit helps.

I had a roommate that was always finding things like this and she was always sharing how much she could make back from all of these types of programs so I know they really work. It doesn’t take too much effort and when you’re able to redeem that reward you feel like your efforts really paid off because you wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise.

I love being able to redeem the rewards that I earn. Gotta love free gift cards!

I just signed up for this but I forget to enter my receipts! I need to be more diligent.

My husband has been doing all the shopping lately and he puts the receipts in his wallet and forgets about them. I have to remember to ask for them every few days, but keep forgetting, too.

I have tried before, but didn’t get very far. Have you earned gift cards? Maybe I need to try again.

Yes, I’ve redeemed for several Amazon gift cards.

Something like this would probably be good for me to use since I hate cutting coupons and then forgetting to use them.

I’ll have to check out this app! I use Ibotta.
Sara W
I use Ibotta too, and I find this one to be a lot easier just because you don’t have to do anything up front.
Lisa
This is a great program! Who doesn’t love free money.
Amanda Krieger
fetch rewards sounds awesome! i love things like this, finding money!!
Loren Dietrich
This sounds a bit like the app iBotta. Is it similar?
Sara W
The main difference between Ibotta and Fetch is that with Ibotta you have to add the specific ‘coupons’ to your account. With Fetch you just scan your receipt and they will determine whether or not you qualify for any of the rewards/coupons. So no extra time, effort or planning required with Fetch.

I love Fetch! It’s one of my go-to apps when I go shopping!
